Working as part of the Professional Standards Team, the Risk and Compliance Manager role is a key position within this professional body, managing the enterprise risk in order to ensure the organisation complies with relevant policies and requirements and achieves its objectives.
Reporting to various Boards and Committees, you will work across all areas of the business to ensure risk management standards are embedded and will be involved in project coordination and management internally and externally. You will build a network of risk management professional contacts to share best practice with and will take the lead in meetings and will deputise for the Director.
You will be a graduate or equivalent with extensive practical experience in risk and compliance (the main emphasis is on risk) and with solid experience developing programmes and strategies to tackle risk and compliance issues. You will ideally have a professional qualification in a risk management related area , will have a sound knowledge of risk management tools and techniques and a knowledge of compliance principles and their application in a commercial environment. You will have experience of managing projects (ideally with a project management qualification)and good analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience of working with regulators, an understanding of financial advice regulations and knowledge of corporate principles and structures would be ideal.
