Kendrick School is a successful 11-18 girls' grammar school in the centre of Reading. As an expanding school this is an exciting time to be joining the Finance team.
We have two vacancies for Finance Officers to start in December 2020. These are two new roles to recognise the changing needs in the Finance Office. You will be part of a team carrying out key financial duties in the Finance Department and providing financial support to the School Business Manager.
Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable
20 hours per week, term time plus two weeks to cover INSET and summer holidays for year-end procedures in July and August.
Finance Officer - Accounts Payable
20 hours per week, term time plus three weeks to cover INSET and summer holidays to cover year-end procedures in July and August.
There is also an opportunity for up to 10 hours a week for one of these roles on a temporary fixed term basis to assist the Premises Team, payable at the same rate. There is more information on this role in the application pack.
You will have accounting experience and/or an accounting or book-keeping qualification and a knowledge and understanding of finance management systems and software. With a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, you will be able to work under your own initiative and to tight deadlines. You must also be able to work as part of team and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must available to work flexibly in July and August.
