We are delighted to partner with our established and highly reputable East Sussex based legal client who is seeking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer to join their organisation.

Purpose of the role

To assist the Head of Department to implement the Residential Property Dept. Strategy by maximising departmental profitability whilst providing high quality client care standards.

Performance expectations

Assisting the Department and branch team to attain the Department's Objectives and Key Performance Indicator Targets

Consistent accuracy, efficiency and volume of work produced

Providing top class quality service standards to clients other professional contacts

Achieving 95% recovery rate

Creation and update of a Personal Marketing Plan

Adding value to the work of the branch team and the whole Department

Key duties

To provide end to end legal, technical and practical skills to the highest quality on Conveyancing transactions

To achieve monthly and annual fee earning and other KPI targets as per the Department Plan

To advise and manage client expectations

Ability to assist with marketing events

To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone in a professional and efficient manner

Become fluent and proficient with, and engaging in the Department's day to day work

Deal with all parties in a timely, professional and efficient manner

To ensure the firm's quality file management procedures are accurately carried out

To adhere to all quality standards

To make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain your own diary using the Microsoft Outlook calendar system

To ensure the confidentiality and security of the firm's and clients documentation

To undertake any other duties which from time to time may be allocated

Person spec

Desire to expand the above knowledge, experience and skills

Effective time management and organisational skills and the initiative to work independently but also as part of a team

Flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to work

Able to identify priorities within a complex and demanding workload

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) as the role will involve a high degree of contact with clients and other professionals

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Confident in own abilities and self motivated

Displays a genuine commitment to assisting with delivering a top quality service to clients

Experience required

Proven experience of working within the Property market and fluency with procedural requirements - ideally with a minimum of 3 years experience

Excellent knowledge of requisite core legal subjects (level will depend on the stage of your career and depth of experience)

Excellent IT skills

Proven marketing experience e.g. involvement in referrer/client events/networking lunches

ALA qualification desirable.
