WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

This is an exciting role at CityFibre, sitting as part of a new team within the PMO function, reporting directly to the Director of Group Operations and PMO.

As the Data Governance Manager, you will lead, maintain and grow the Data Governance Roadmap thus becoming an advocate of change and best practice across the wider organisation. Taking ownership of the Data Governance strategy, you'll ensure its successful implementation, upholding the Data Management and Quality standards aligned with the policies and procedures set out.

You'll build and maintain an engagement model to support business change and prioritise work accordingly. As part of this role the Data Governance Manager will chair the Data Governance Board and take input from the wider Executive Committee on prioritisation along with strategy alignment. You'll also be supporting both Data Domain Owners along with Data Consumers across the organisation. Within this area you will provide guidance, communication and be expected to build and maintain KPIs' to ensure quality standards are maintained and change controlled where required.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

It's important that you have experience of embedding Data Governance into an Enterprise Data level environment, working closely with Data Professionals such as Data Architects and Data Designers to ensure best practice across project implementation, whilst also providing visibility of compliance along with risk management activities. You'll also have;
  • Extensive experience in Data Management and/or Enterprise Data Governance organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-leading Data Governance practices aligned with best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead an enterprise programme
  • Strong Data Quality Management including Data Quality rules, integration into existing data environments and issue remediation
  • Good understanding of Data capability such as Data Architecture, Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Previous experience with Data Management tools
  • Understanding of the principles of IT security along with Data Protection (GDPR) and the relevant certifications.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of stakeholder management
  • Proven track record of building strong and effective working relationships
  • Highly organised with strong time-management skills
