Role: Head of Compliance & Internal Operations
Starting salary: c£38,000 per annum
Hours: Full time (35 hpw)
Location: Woodstock, Oxfordshire
Our client is a national organisation and has been the leading expert in rural community business for over 100 years. Community businesses are enterprises that are owned and run democratically by members of the community and others, on behalf of the community. This charity currently works with over 600 community businesses and this number is continually growing. They come in many forms - including shops, pubs, woodlands and anything which lends itself to community ownership. In addition to developing and safeguarding valuable assets and services, community businesses address a range of issues including isolation, loneliness, wellbeing, work and training.
We are pleased to announce the vacancy of Head of Compliance and Internal Operations. This is a new senior management full-time role to lead on matters relating to: governance; legislative compliance; company policies and procedures; support to Trustees; and matters relating to management and wellbeing of staff. Following a successful probation period, the post holder will become registered as the Company Secretary.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the applicant should be highly driven and self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail. They will need proven practical experience of reviewing and implementing policies and procedures, up to date knowledge of regulation and legislation affecting charities and management and implementation of GDPR practices. The charity is seeking an individual that applies exceptionally high standards and excellent organisational skills to all areas of their work. The right candidate will enjoy working closely with the existing Senior Management Team and will seek to create positive working relationships with external partners and project delivery teams.
