Oracle Database Developer / Architect

Durham (DH1) - can be based nationally

£42,500 per annum + benefits

A public sector business with local national offices across the country, are looking to take their data strategy to the next level, and are in position to appoint a Data Architect to help plot how this will look and subsequently develop their brand new database. The business has been established for well over 100 years and have fantastic heritage as a result.

The business operates on a not-for-profit model, meaning work done will be for the greater good of the public, not for financial gain. You will be influential with your contribution and execution on the IT strategy in place, to deliver on the company vision and goals. This includes the definition of data storage strategy, for instance, decided between data lake v data warehouse principals. You will be an advocate for data governance and help to empower people within the business, from data capture strategy to utilisation in day to day work. You will engage with SME's throughout the business and their partners, to help ensure that optimal processes are being followed both technically and from a delivery perspective (cost, time taken, etc,).

To be considered for this role, we are looking for:

- Significant experience of Oracle development and architecture on a large-scale basis

- Strong ETL tool and process experience

- Knowledge of NoSQL

- Any experience of Big Data platforms will be highly advantageous.
