Established in 2006 PerfectHome is a household goods retailer that offers top quality products to customers through flexible weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment options.
We're looking for a Procurement Manager on a fixed 1 year contract to join our Purchasing Department. Based at our office in Eagle Court in Sheldon, Birmingham or our office in Colton Mill, Leeds
Reporting to the Head of Retail, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for defining and delivering the procurement strategy to support PerfectHome delivering on its financial targets and vision. The individual will need to be a cultural champion for delivering value for money.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
You will:
Support and advise the Head of Retail and Executive Team on wide range of issues and initiatives.
Implement a clear procurement strategy which will provide a commercial advantage to PerfectHome
Lead all major procurement exercises for PerfectHome
Design, implement and embed sustainable procurement processes
Ensure stakeholders understand the procurement process and will advise on business cases that involve new spend
Review supplier portfolio and existing contracts ensuring all suppliers benefit the business and provide value for money.
Nurture existing relationships with existing Suppliers to reduce costs whilst still delivering benefits to the business.
Highlight inefficient spending to drive savings on behalf of PerfectHome
Work closely with Finance and key internal budget holders to support 3rd Party tenders having a key eye on delivering value for the business
Support the digital transformation and challenge the business appropriately
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Must have extensive experience working as a Procurement Manager managing high value contracts
A proven track record implementing procurement process, SRM and contract management
Proven experience in negotiating contracts delivering significant costs savings that impact the P&L
Financial management and legal knowledge.
Extensive experience using procurement tools to drive automation within the procurement processes.
Strong communication and relationship management skills - you must be able to take PerfectHome on the journey and become a trusted advisor for internal colleagues
Ability to work at pace, in a fast and flexible environment with drive, energy and enthusiasm
Significant commercial understanding with an excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making background
Experience of providing robust solutions to achieve business objectives and overcome business challenges
Experience of building relationships at all levels to drive commercial benefit
Must be able to work on own initiative
Measures/ Competencies:
Successfully create and embed new procurement policies
Review existing and new commercial contracts
Challenge all business areas on commercial contracts and spend levels
Negotiate contracts to deliver cost savings
Embed culture of delivering value for money
