Control System Engineer - The role based within the engineering group of the business to design and optimise thermal control systems using embedded hardware and software.

As part of this team you will be looking after and contributing to the following areas:-

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise closed loop tracking control for a two axis gimbal
* Verify open loop and closed loop controls performance with analysis, demonstration, and testing of equipment.
* The engineer shall actively work with peers and specialists across different disciplines to meet shared product milestones.
* Designing, implementing and optimising/maintaining embedded real time control system firmware and software designs

The Right Candidate:-

This is a position available due to expansion and in order to deliver a major project.

We are looking for interest and passion in working with MEMs Technology.

This really should be looked at as Development based role, you'll have a natural tendancy to solve problems and motivated by tackling complex tasks.

Required experience and knowledge
* Masters degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline or a background in mechatronics
* Minimum of 3 years of applicable systems engineering or controls development experience
* Experience with computer aided engineering tools for control engineering (matlab)
* Broad experience designing embedded software control systems that integrate electrical / electronic and mechanical systems
* Proven experience in reducing control theory into practice, with experience in the control of mechanical devices, including PID regulators and PWM control techniques.
* Embedded software development (C++)
