NRL are currently resourcing for staff/ permanent Fabricators for a workshop on behalf of a leading Engineering client based in Workington, Cumbria.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to support the Team Leader with the manufacturing unit in achieving plant operational targets, product quality, customer service and health & safety objectives.
What you will need:
Drawing Interpretation including basic weld symbol understanding.
Welding ability: MIG/MAG welding
Experience with weld procedures and welder qualifications (codings).
Material preparation - Grinding, burring, dressing (abrasive wheels).
Experienced in the fabrication of carbon steel and stainless steel.
Thermal cutting and chamfering (oxy-propane).
Marking off - for fabrication assembly and machining allowance.
Heavy engineering experience.
Nuclear fabrication experience.
Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Fabrication/Welding
Flux cored welding - desirable, TIG welding (desirable)
Plate rolling and forming (desirable)
Arc Air Gouging (desirable)
Pipework fabrication and welding (desirable)
