Bicester Learning in Partnership, a well-established cluster of local schools, is looking for an enthusiastic and highly-skilled Educational Psychologist to join their staff team. The post-holder will provide professional input to support pupils in a group of schools, comprising secondary, primary and nursery aged children in mainstream and specialist settings. This is an exciting part-time (0.6 FTE) post that has arisen following the retirement of the current EP after seven years in the role.
Candidates should be registered with the Health Professional Council. Whilst prior educational psychology experience is desirable, applications from newly-qualified EPs will be considered. Opportunities will be available for the post-holder to develop and deliver training as part of the CPD offer in schools across the partnership. Appropriate and relevant CPD opportunities will also be available for the candidate themselves.
A consultation model of service delivery has been in place, but could be subject to change at the discretion of the successful applicant. The partnership Headteachers and SENDCOs are keen to continue the close working relationship that has underpinned the delivery of psychological support to the children, parents and staff in the area and are seeking applications from enthusiastic, resourceful EPs who meet the selection criteria. This is a rewarding job with much to offer.
In order for the candidate to fulfil the role as successfully as possible, Bicester Learning in Partnership will provide:
- A working base at Chesterton CE Primary School.
- Mentoring and formal supervision.
- Support from an experienced group of Headteachers and SENDCOs.
- Flexibility and autonomy in order to maximise the impact of the role.
- A laptop.
- Other supporting resources as required.
- Local travel expenses.
Our partnership is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All cases are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
Bicester Learning in Partnership promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
We strongly encourage contact to find out more about the role.
