I am delighted to be recruiting a Service Operations Manager position for a growing manufacturing business. The company is based in South Yorkshire however the role will require travel nationally, overseeing a team of service engineers at customer sites.
My client is a growing manufacturing business with a renowned reputation for high-quality within the industry. Due to continued growth and expansion this year, they are looking to recruit a Service Operations Manager to join the team and grow the service engineering and aftermarket arm of the business, with a view to progression and development themselves.
As Service Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing and developing a team of Service Engineers.
Planning, scheduling, and liaising with the customer around scheduled maintenance and service schedules.
Being the face of the operations arm of the company and liaising regularly with the customer.
Identifying potential opportunities onsite to benefit the customer and business commercially.
Training and coaching of the Service Engineers, creating key metrics round personal and professional development.
Conducting site inspections and risk assessments at each customer site to identify any issues of concern.Profile
The successful candidate must:
Be an exceptionally strong people manager, with the ability to influence and engage with a close-knit team of engineers.
Possess a strong knowledge of engineering and planning systems.
Experience in the service industry in a manufacturing capacity is essential.
Have worked as an Operations Manager or equivalent within a manufacturing environment.
Be willing to travel nationwide and in the odd case internationally for the needs of the business.Job Offer
