We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant who is qualified to AAT level 2 with experience using SAGE to work in Leicester to be part of a small team where career development is there for the right candidate, our client can offer flexibility when it comes to hours for the right candidate on the start and finish time but it is Monday - Friday.

As the Finance Assistant some of your duties are listed below but this could change based on the business and support required by the rest of the team

Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts except cash including the investigation and resolution of all reconciling or unusual items.
Processing of any journals required to record transactions or clear control reports.
Raising and distributing sales and contribution invoices and any other ad-hoc invoices required.
Credit control and timely collection of monies in relation to all invoices.
Learning all tasks covered by the Finance team so that all roles can be covered.
Reconciliation of supplier/debtor and creditor accounts in all ledgers.
Resolution of any employer or other stakeholder queries in relation to invoices.
Setting up new clients
Producing Purchase orders/Supplier set up forms
Allocating supplier payments and Processing supplier payments
Running off turnover statements
Chasing up outstanding debts
Sorting out any rebates and filing
Checking VAT has been included on invoices
Production and development of internal revenue reports.
General administrationOnce successful as the Finance Assistant you will be part of a very lively team, with free parking, pension, flexi hours, career development, 28 days holiday and training by you line manager
