This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic company with a number of homes across Derbyshire and Leicestershire. They are looking for a home manager to join their 42 bedded home in Leicester that currently holds a 'Good' rating with CQC.

Key duties:

To support the Home Manager to develop the staff team to obtain and sustain the necessary care skills and underpinning knowledge to manage the needs of residents.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of residents using evidence based practice.

To ensure a high standard of care service is provided for residents and will take charge of the Home in the absence of the Home Manager.

To assist the Home Manager with the process of recruiting, appointing and deploying care staff, catering, administrative and domestic according to Company Policy and CQC Requirements.

To assist the Home Manager with completing staff rotas on a weekly / monthly basis

To manage staff absence and maintaining staffing levels within agreed ratio

To ensure that there is a good communication with and between staff, to arrange regular staff meetings every 2 months and to action on any issues raised

To ensure that effective induction, supervision and assessment of staff is carried out and that training needs are identified and met.

Key Responsibilities of a Deputy Home Manager

They will be expected to be part of the Team Leaders rota for the home, cover the On Call and work a number of shifts per week as required.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of residents using evidence based practice.

To ensure a high standard of care service is provided for residents and will take charge of the Home in the absence of the Home Manager.

To assist the Home Manager with the process of recruiting, appointing and deploying care staff, catering, administrative and domestic according to Company Policy and CQC Requirements.

Deputy Home Manager Requirements:

Experience working within an Elderly Residential/Nursing home

Minimum NVQ Level 3 IN Management

Benefits:

Between £25,000-£30,000 salary
