Service Service works in Partnership with Norfolk County Council and we are looking for x2 talented Principal Communications Officers. One post is focussed on marketing and campaigns, the other is in media relations. Any previous experience in local outbreaks would be advantageous. Candidates with previous experience in managing political, reputational and partnership working experience would be desirable.


Working with the Communications Manager, the Principal Communications Officer delivers communication activity in support of the council's main objectives. They are responsible for developing proactive promotional plans, creating or commissioning material in support of these plans and proactive and reactive media and reputational and crisis management work. They are also responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of this work.

In addition to working on campaigns in support of key council priorities, a Principal Communications Officer will carry out on campaigns in support of the council's role in support of Norfolk the place or Norfolk the people.

Officers will provide practical advice and support in respect of communications on a day-to-day basis and foster good relationships with relevant officers and members across the council.
