Greencore are currently in the process of renegotiating our data centre hosting services and because of this we will need to migrate our services from the existing datacentres to two new datacentres. We are looking for an experienced transition manager to work with our service providers, Greencore technical teams and Greencore business units to plan and deliver the transition of the datacentre services.

On completion of the Datacentre migration Greencore will be approaching the end of its managed service contract for Networks. The Transition manager will be involved in the RFP, selection and transition process for moving WAN and LAN provision and management to the selected service provider.

The transition manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of both migrations

Roles and responsibilities:

Provide the focal point for all service providers and internal stakeholders involved in the transition project.
Jointly develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Producing accurate and timely reporting of status.
Present progress risks and escalations to the Infrastructure Steering committee
Manage transition costs to the approved budget
Identify risks and opportunities relating to the transition
Conducting a detailed due diligence on the scope of work and specific areas to be transitioned.
Identify and secure the Greencore resources required to deliver the programme to schedule
Liaise with the application users to ensure transition activities do not impact business operations
Ensure smooth transition of support for the new live services to service delivery organisation

Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
Excellent analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
