Transforming Futures Trust works with children for whom mainstream education is not right: young people with behavioural challenges; children with mental health concerns; students who find the traditional setting of a school intimidating.
The Trust is now operates a staff bank model so that they can directly engage with supply teachers and support staff that wish to work at their schools. This service is in partnership with The Supply Register.
The Trust are looking to recruit experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work across a number of their locations. The ideal candidates will have 2 years' experience working with children. The roles will be Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm during term time and are to start after October half term.
In these roles you will support students in their transtion moving into mainstream education from an a SEN School. Your role as an SEN Learning Support Assistant will be to support the students and help them settle into the new school.
You will be expected to provide in class support and also 1:1 intervention sessions.
The students you will be supporting may have Moderate Learning Difficulties, Autism, ESBD and quite often a combination of all of these so previous experience supporting students with learning difficulties is desirable
