Cordant People are currently working with a globally recognised manufacturing organisation in Glenrothes to recruit a Maintenance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into senior directors, the successful candidate will manage a multidisciplinary team with the aim of ensuring that company assets are maintained to the highest possible standard whilst minimising any downtime. The Role:

Coordinate PPM duties throughout the site, ensuring that schedules are adhered to and that adequate resources are available to members of the maintenance team.
Ensure that the condition of company equipment is consistently monitored and appropriate action is taken when necessary to minimise the impact on the manufacturing process.
Audit and ensure compliance of all engineering data systems.
Take charge of the maintenance departments budget.
Work closely with colleagues across a variety of functions to share information and identify any issues impacting manufacturing output.
Keep the computerised maintenance system up to date and report any issues that arise.
Share best practices and guide colleagues in the department, enhancing their existing skill set wherever possible.The Candidate:

Experience within a similar managerial role would be a distinct advantage.
Background in a LEAN manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial.
Must have completed a degree, HND (Level 5) or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering.
NEBOSH qualification is essential.
Ability to manage P&L and capEX for the maintenance department.
Able to effectively manage and motivate colleagues.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload based on current business requirements.
