About the role

We're looking for a Change Control Manager within the Business Relation part of the Business Solutions to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

As the Portfolio Resource Manager is to lead, develop and implement a portfolio and resource management process across Business Solutions that provides forward planning, visibility and decision making that enables us to support our customer's critical requirements. Ensure the process, tools, people and governance in place to effectively manage and deliver the project portfolio working in close collaboration with the Babcock IS PMO and Business Solutions Leadership.

What do I need to do the role?

You will have an APMP Qualification and be educated to degree level or equivalent.
We would also like you to have the following:
* Leadership experience/skills
* Portfolio Management Office and Resourcing experience
* Pronounced analytical and planning skills coupled with an independent, objective and process-oriented way of working
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working in teams and confident in dealing with clients/users
* Understanding of importance of commercial constraints
* Strong diplomacy and negotiation skills

Lastly you will be Self-motivated, able to plan and schedule own work within a limited time horizon
and have proven experience in implementation of process improvements.

What else do I need to know?

* The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
