Job Details

Sprinkler / Pipe Fitter required to work on a large project based in London.

Job Purpose:

Carry out general pipework installation activities through effective organisation, planning, co-ordination and communication

Have an in depth and general knowledge and understanding of above ground drainage, sanitary ware, compressed air and other pipework systems

Have a good practical knowledge of and experience in steel, copper, plastic and stainless steel pipework systems.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Coordinate and monitoring all on site functions covering health and safety, permit to works, deliveries, collections and sub contract activities

Carry out installation functions as required in accordance with the scope of works and instruction received. Ensure all operations are left in a safe state on a daily basis and client informed that operations have ceased. Support all requirements needed to carry out job related functions. Comply with all current procedures and processes as issued.

Study contract drawings, specifications and inspect existing structures to assess material and equipment needs to establish the sequence of pipework installation and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical installation.

Support the Line Manager in the day to day implementation policies, procedures and standards necessary to maintain the integrity of ongoing operational activities and provide high quality service to customers in accordance Integrated Management System, Client Company Safety Procedures / Instructions / Client Contract.

Person Specification

The candidate must possess the following:

Must have the relevant experience working with Metal pipe on remedial works, stripping out and plant side etc.

The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance.

A recognised trade discipline related qualification.

Ability to work unsupervised and organise work.

The ability to undertaken Health and Safety Training as appropriate and applicable..

Sound level of written and spoken English in order to comprehend briefings and directions from supervisors and complete site and work records.

Good temperament, polite and courteous.

Highly motivated self-starter, with an adaptable and flexible approach.

High standards of personal integrity and professionalism with the adaptability to change.

Ability to think and react to immediate problems and issues without losing sight of or compromising long term goals.

The ability to organise, plan and prioritise work.

Must have Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) Cleared, Own tools and able to work wihtout supervision
