We are ideally searching for a qualified (CICM), or at the very least a Credit Manager with proven and significant experience in managing and developing a large customer portfolio to a very high standard. Whilst the monetary value of the existing mega-multiple accounts varies significantly, the intrinsic value of each customer is equal. It is therefore important that your character is such that you will adapt your approach to managing them in a consistent and effective manner. As a hands-on leader you will ensure that your team maintain high quality standards both operationally and relationally to ensure that credit systems and procedures are maintained according to company and regulatory guidelines.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
You will report directly to the Head of Finance and will:
·Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly processes are completed and targets are achieved
·Manage, coach, and lead a team of 5 to ensure both development and performance
·Ensure the credit risk policy is always followed and that the business is BACS compliant
·Manage insurance claims and monitor performance
·Ensure that the Sales Ledger is managed and updated effectively to facilitate appropriate credit management
·Maintain efficient and relevant credit management controls to ensure the timely collection of overdue debt and reduce fraud
·Work closely with the Sales team to review sale processes to ensure the smooth on boarding of new customers
·Agree and monitor internal credit SLA's
·Analyse external business data in order to set and review credit limits for new and existing customers
·Manage and support customers going through financial difficulty. Identify accounts that require special attention and act decisively to resolve disputes/cash flow
·Continue to develop a customer focused culture across the function, improving operating procedures/policies to help improve the customer journey
·Maintain accurate measurement and performance of all credit statistics, preparing the monthly credit reporting and communication to relevant stakeholders
·Maintain external credit relationships including credit insurance, legal suppliers, and credit business intelligence suppliers
·Assist with the modelling of cash flow availability including the development of scenario testing
·Conduct annual appraisals, regular staff 1-2-1's, setting and monitoring targets
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
·A Credit Management Qualification would be preferable
