Our client, a large US Pharmaceutical firm, are looking for a highly motivated and proactive candidate to join its Statutory Reporting team within its international shared service centre on an initial 6-12 month contract basis. The successful applicant will assist with the statutory accounting, including the preparation and review of multiple statutory accounts across the international region, which covers approximately 20 legal entities.
There will likely be an opportunity for this role to move into a permanent role after the initial 6-12 month contract. The head office is based in Paddington, but the role will be remote working until the office re-opens post Covid.
Central to this role is effective stakeholder management at all levels of the business. You will have a proven track record of presenting information to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner.
For countries you are responsible for, you will manage the relationship with the external accounting service provider in order to support the delivery of the financial statements, ensuring we are connected to the latest technical accounting knowledge and resources. You will also manage the relationship with the external auditors for the relevant countries statutory accounts you are responsible for to ensure delivery of the statutory audit agreed timelines.
ACA Qualified from a professional practice background, big 4 preferred
Experience in preparing and/or reviewing statutory financial statements under multiple GAAP'sSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Strong, relevant post qualification experience
Proven communication, negotiation and influencing skills in working with multiple stakeholders both internal and external
Established record in managing multiple and competing priorities
Strong technical accounting knowledge under multiple GAAP's
