A hugely successful food logistics business has an opening for an experienced supply chain management professional to join their team in London.
Reporting directly into the GM, you will be responsible for executing best practices to maximise all supply chain processes from sourcing of raw materials to delivery of finished product to the customer's network of outlets both UK wide and internationally. This will be through efficient management of your team, for whom you will coach, guide, develop and support in all aspects of supply chain management.
It is essential that you have in-depth knowledge and experience of supply chain within the FMCG sector, preferably within the ambient, chilled and frozen environment and have a demonstrable track-record of success in respect of supplier management and performance.
This is a critical role for the business, as you will form part of the senior management team and have influence in all areas of best practice. You must demonstrate strong leadership with an ability to operate strategically (with the capacity to inspire and motivate at a senior level) particularly in an organisation that is going through significant, positive change.
It is essential that you are highly analytical, detail focused and operate with total professional integrity. As an innovative leader, the role will afford the successful individual an opportunity to make a significant impact by continuing to build a successful supply chain management strategy.
Key aspects of the role will be to:
Drive improvement in inventory availability and increase inventory efficiency by maintaining and managing accurate stock file
Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve the overall cost structure
Drive complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and customer experience
