Job Title: Head of Events and Offterm

Salary: £28,000 (annual)

Location: Burgess Hill

Duration: 9-12 Month Maternity contract starting Dec 2020

Hours: 37.5 hour week (Flexibility on hours worked each day required)

Benefits: 25 days holiday (increasing to 30 after 5 years' service), complementary lunch, free parking, positive working environment

We are thrilled to be working exclusively with a wonderful educational establishment conveniently located in Burgess Hill who are currently seeking a Head of Events and Offterm.

As Head of Events and Offterm you will provide critical support to all areas of the school, fulfilling the requirements of the School's Strategic Marketing Plan.

The core duties include but are not limited to:

Support the Senior Leadership Team with Partnership and Community Activities.
Work with the Senior Leadership team, Admissions Officer and staff to support initiatives focused towards student retention.
Work with the Head, Senior Leadership Team and Heads of Department to support curriculum events for current students and their parents.
Prepare and manage the events budget
Build a database of alumni and develop a process to support fundraising initiatives
Provide regular written reports to the Head, Senior leadership team and where requested, show recent progress against targets
Oversee t recruitment events e.g. Open days
Initiate, plan and manage external recruitment events which support the school's marketing strategy
Attend any relevant seminars/conferences throughout the academic year
Provide a positive point of contact for pupils and parents
Manage effective relationships with other relevant offices within the school, both academic and support staff.
Support from the school's Senior leadership team and other internal departments regarding events
Attend a weekly events meeting to check internal and external functions and events are running to plan.
Liaise with all internal departments with regards to the logistics and any special requirements of eventsKey skills required:

Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail
Strong IT skills and knowledge
Extensive knowledge of on-line Event Marketing
Knowledge of budgeting and costing
Recent hands-on experience of events management & some marketing knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate with people of all ages
Flexible approach to duties and working hours
A team player with the ability of working independently
Able to work under pressure and prioritise own workload
Well-developed literacy skills to assist with proofreading, drafting press releases and copy editing.Travail Employment Group is operating as an Employment Agency.
