Bruckshaw Associates are recruiting a hands on Finance Manger to join our Cheltenham based client, a diverse role that will fundamentally see you responsible for the management accounts and overseeing the smooth running of the transactional ledgers.
Working in central Cheltenham for a multifaceted and intriguing business you will need either a recognised accounting qualification or suitable amount of relevant experience. You will need to demonstrate a can do attitude, be a genuine team player who when required can work autonomously and self manage workloads.
Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Maintaining the nominal ledger, management reporting, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments and monthly journals. VAT, maintain records and producing monthly returns. Monthly payroll. Management of cash and bank payments. Working alongside accounts assistant to assist with any Purchase or Sales ledger needs. Reflective of the team size there will eb other addition finance admin duties alongside this.
Due to the nature of the role it is important that you have adequate experience of operating at this level, you will ideally be coming from a similar SME background, whilst not essential intercompany experience will be beneficial.
You will need to be competent using MO in particular Excel, ideally an experienced user of sage 200 or a similar system.
Team fit/person specification:
When it comes to selection team fit and personality will be equally as important as technical skillset. Often an overused phrase but you will need to be a genuine team player, who is as happy to operate at the top end as you are admin and ledger work. You will be liaising with range of external and internal personnel and will need to demonstrate a professional approach at all times.
