Management Accountant

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join a long standing business going through an exciting period of growth and change located in central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£30,000 - £35,000 plus full study support for CIMA/ACCA and partial remote working

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• To support the achievement of commercial objectives, providing an active role in the establishing and controlling of reporting routines for month-end management reporting, statutory reporting, budgetary reporting
• Monthly preparation of management accounts including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, balance sheet reconciliations, at Company and Regional level
• Review and analysis of budgets and revised forecasts
• To support the commercial focus of activities to achieve budget performance, helping to provide financial advice, information, reports and analysis
• To play an active role in maintaining systems and processes to ensuing best practice and use of systems to provide management information for analysis and training to improve competence
• Identifying and planning improvement changes where necessary
• To review management information and implement agreed procedures to ensure that subsidiaries are adopting best financial practice and identify efficiency/ productivity opportunities

Person specification:

• Actively studying CIMA/ACCA and be at least part-qualified
• Minimum 3 years working in a varied finance role including month end exposure
• Analytically minded with the ability communicate across all levels of a business
• Strong IT skills, in particular Excel
• A genuine desire to learn, develop and grow within a role
