An independent boarding school for boys aged 13 to 18

SUPPORT MATRON

Part time, term time only, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2-10pm

Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill in north-west London and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 830 boys study at Harrow and live in the School's 12 boarding houses. Employees particularly value the School's beautiful green estate, the positive working environment, and good relationships with their colleagues.

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Support Matron to join our friendly team. The Support Matron will deputise for each of the 12 House Matrons during their time off or if they are absent and will provide pitch-side support during sporting afternoons and events. An important part of the role will be accompanying boys on hospital visits, so applicants must be calm in an emergency, empathetic, practical and able to drive their own car.

This role would suit a candidate who has a background in a caring or medical profession, or who has experience of working with young people. We are looking for a highly organised and caring individual who possesses common sense, flexibility and the ability to communicate positively with a wide range of people.

Benefits include automatic enrolment in the School's pension scheme, an evening meal, use of the School's sports facilities and subsidised membership of the tennis, golf, angling and social clubs.

Please apply directly through our School website. It is paramount that you complete the online application form in its entirety and fill in all personal and work details with all information provided as we do not shortlist from CVs and any incomplete applications will not be shortlisted.

Closing date: 23 October 2020

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All successful applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with any past employer and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Harrow School is an equal opportunities employer.
