We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Systems Engineers to join our Rolling Stock Manufacturing client near Valencia.

Please note this role will require relocation to within commuting distance to Valencia.

Roles and Responsibilities

* the functional integration of electrical systems in railway vehicles

* the extract from the customer specification for requirements that apply to the electrical functionality of the train

* making control functional specifications on electrical systems, with a global vision of the vehicle control (Doors, Brake, Traction, Lightning, Auxiliaries, HVAC, Register, JRU, and Radio)

* meetings with suppliers to develop the electrical functionality to ensure compliance with the vehicle specification

* writing descriptive documents for internal/external clients to explain solutions adopted

* the development of Functional Electrical Schematics of all electrical subsystems in the train, as well as revision of detailed schematics to ensure that the desired functionality has been implemented

* checking the fulfilment of the customer requirements with the functionality defined

* writing functional specifications to be used by the Software group to write the coding

* supporting the Validation team to solve problems during vehicle commissioning

Qualifications and Skills

* a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

* four years' previous experience

* a speciality in Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent

* knowledge of functional integration of Electrical Systems in railway vehicles

* transversal knowledge of the vehicle control and its subsystems

* implementation of Functional Schematics

* interpretation of detailed Electrical Schematics

* interpretation of control logics and block diagrams

* knowledge of communications (CAN, Ethernet, and Radio)

* good communication skills in a multi-disciplinary group inside Engineering

* good communication skills with external suppliers

* proficiency in Spanish

* high level of English

* knowledge of Requirements Management (DOORS)

* knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

* knowledge of Microsoft Visio

* good analytical skills

* the capability to solve complex problems

* the ability to work in a team

* an excellent academic background and working experience
