Job Details

We are working with a leading local charity as they look to recruit a new marketing and communications executive.

Role: Temp2Perm

Salary: £18,010 - £22,492

Hours of work: Full time 37 hours per week

Main Purpose of the Job:

You will play a key role in developing creative and innovative marketing content, especially for

social media channels. You will be required to support the fundraising and enterprise team

activities in terms of promotion, sponsorship and logistics and will develop strong media contacts.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1.Act as a link for all areas of marketing and advertising.

2.Design and deliver a range of reactive and strategically planned marketing and communications content in print, media and online. To include press releases, newsletters, email, news and thought pieces, case studies, publications, presentations and videos.

3.Work with the fundraising team to identify and deliver engaging and emotive fundraising appeals, facilitated on our online platforms, with a view to securing both singular and regular donations.

4.Manage social media accounts, ensuring content is scheduled appropriately via Buffer, monitoring engagement levels and providing feedback to commentators as required.

5.Be responsible for maintaining and improving the web site and content and liaising with the web site provider and host on development projects.

6.Manage marketing and digital assets including categorising and archiving photos

7.Edit, proof read, and repurpose content as directed to ensure that it is accurate, compelling and brand-focused.

8.Provide support prior to and during major events.

9.Analyse all marketing and communications activity such as social media engagement, website analytics, email delivery click through rates, and opt-ins.

Key Skills

Associated qualification or relevant experience within a marketing role.

1.Strong project management skills, including the ability to successfully prioritise and manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment

2.Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills

3.Videography, photography and graphic design experience. Experience with basic design and video editing would be highly advantageous.

4.Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and web content management software comparable products

5.Direct experience of preparing and distributing engaging content and marketing material

6.Excellent planning and organising skills, including the ability to manage and/or support several activities simultaneously

7.Excellent Information technology skills including social media platforms, e-mail marketing, web site content management, Google Analytics

8.Successful track record of developing content and delivering successful marketing campaigns

9.Excellent communication skills
