QA Tester, Automation, Software, Bolton to £25K

This is a great opportunity for a QA Tester to join a leading ecommerce organisation based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. They are rapidly expanding and due to growth require a QA Tester with to work in their As part of our technical team. You'll be working in an Agile development environment, testing software built in .NET Core and ReactJS.

You'll be responsible for end to end tests, smoke tests and acceptance tests, helping to ensure that team projects are completed to the highest standards while in keeping with company deadlines. In return, we will give you opportunities to learn from our excellent technical staff and to shape our approach to testing and QA.

Tasks include

• Talking about projects face-to-face with designers, developers, and company directors to design effective test scripts,
• Creating both manual and automated tests. Find ways to improve our testing processes, sharing ideas in an open-minded, supportive environment. We judge ideas on merit, and reward those who can think outside the box.
• Evaluating product code according to specifications to produce high-performance, bug-free software. Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies. Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Help developers pinpoint and troubleshoot problems

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Technical background - experience in writing automation tests
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

Desirable Skills

• A degree in computing science or related subject is an advantage but not compulsory
