Transactional Finance Manager role for National organisation at their Leics HO. Management experience required

Your new company
Hays Accountancy and Finance are proudly working exclusively with a National Organisation based on the outskirts of Leicester City Centre. Supporting the recruitment of an Transactional Finance Manager, who will be responsible for over 20 heads in the transactional finance teams.

Your new role
Managing a team of over 20 transactional finance professionals, you will be supporting the Head of Finance to lead, manage and develop the Operational Finance function. You will be required to promote, deliver and develop finance best practice and customer-focussed services, through strong and effective management of resources with performance standards and targets.

  • Work with the Head of Finance and in partnership with other service departments, to develop, plan, deliver, review, improve and quality assure a focussed and integrated 'Payments & Collections' Finance function, by effectively developing and integrating resources with performance management processes and practices to deliver quality, cost effective services which comply with policies and values, national regulations and finance best practice
  • Provide oversight, governance and leadership to deliver a safe, efficient, cost effective, customer-focused multi-disciplinary 'Payments & Collections' finance service that delivers services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Support the Head of Finance's ownership of debt collection, invoicing and payment processes and the integration of new services into the team.
  • Identify and support delivery of opportunities to improve the finance function to ensure it continues to meet statutory requirements, meets customer needs and supports the delivery of strategic outcomes.


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record of managing a large team either within an Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable capacity, where performance management, supervision and individual appraisals were included in your responsibilities. You will also be able to resolve financial problems efficiently with practical, viable solutions. Recognised Accounting/Industry qualifications are desirable too.
