Your new role
The successful candidate will be providing IT support to internal users across all three offices, where duties include assisting with hardware / software, desktop applications, network and communications problems at first line level while gaining real-world experience of working in a niche sector of the IT industry.
All key responsibilities of the role will be fulfilled, initially by shadowing more experienced, senior members of the IT team with those responsibilities gradually evolving into a more autonomous setting as the successful candidate's experience and exposure increases.
To provide IT support to internal users, assisting them with hardware, software, desktop applications, network and communications problems.
To ensure that all support calls and service requests are logged and administered in accordance with agreed procedures.
To take ownership of ongoing issues and work with the IT team to find timely resolutions.
To work with collaboratively with other IT Team members, steered by the Head of IT to identify where improvements can be made to the IT systems.
To make site visits to remote branch offices as may be required.
To assist with the administration of staff joining, leaving or moving within the organisation in relation to the creation of user accounts, password creation, email accounts, security access and telecom communications.
To assist with and contribute to the ongoing administration and development of the IT Infrastructure.
To assist with the installation of new hardware and software as required for new users or network system upgrades.

Experience needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to exercise tact, patience and understanding as well as manage expectations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work calmly when under pressure.
Must be able to demonstrate a strong customer service ethic.
Have a willingness to learn and develop both one's technical and non-technical skills.
It is important that applicants are able to demonstrate that they have a flexible attitude, are confident, self-motivated and can convince us they will enjoy being part of an integrated team.
