As part of this successful organisation, the retail division now requires an experienced E-Commerce Marketplace Manager, who will have responsibility for managing the brand's e-commerce platform along with various marketplace accounts such as Amazon and ebay. The role will be key to the transformation of the brand having a larger scale, direct relationship with its customers.

The Role:

Reporting to the Sales Director for the brand, as the E-Commerce Marketplace Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • actively managing the strategy within defined marketplaces and across the B2C site
  • ensuring plans are in place to achieve agreed growth targets
  • working to ensure all PPC spend is optimised and within budget
  • maintaining product and pricing consistency across all sites
  • identifying trading opportunities with the wider sales team and cross functional departments
  • ensuring every viable product listing is live and in stock, at the correct price
  • the day to day management of the sales roles supporting this role
  • managing the relationship with marketplace marketing agencies to develop strategy
  • working with the wider business to deliver and grow the marketplace channel
  • identifying new marketplace opportunities for the business
  • regularly reporting financial performance and strategic developments for the brand

The Candidate:

Ideally of graduate standard, from within a marketing, digital or commercially based discipline, candidates for the E-Commerce Marketplace Manager role will also be required to demonstrate that they have:
  • previous experience of managing marketplaces or working within an ecommerce or digital marketing retailer trading environment
  • strong commercial acumen, be highly analytical and numerical, with a close attention to detail
  • a proven track record of driving forward sales growth and achieving/ exceeding set targets ideally within an online retail environment
  • experience of using online analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) and a high proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
  • previous experience of managing successful PPC campaigns
  • the capability to interpret, extrapolate and present large amounts of data and information

Candidates for the E-Commerce Marketplace Manager role should also have:
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to be flexible and creative in a challenging environment
  • the capability to be a hands-on type individual, demonstrating initiative and a positive, professional, "can-do" attitude
  • the ability to be strategic, performance and results driven with a strong commitment to success
  • the ability to work as part of a team or under their own initiative so as to multitask and meet required targets and deadlines
  • proven organisational and negotiation skills
  • the capability of building strong internal and external relationships with business stakeholders

Candidates for the E-Commerce Marketplace Manager role should note that there may be some travel from time to time throughout the UK and should therefore hold a full current UK driving licence.
