The Role - Medical Field Service Engineer, Ophthalmic Lasers

Following expansion, this market leading medical optical group now seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer / Workshop Engineer, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, service, breakdown, returns and repair of leading edge Optometric & Ophthalmic Eye Care & Eye Testing Systems, including retinal diagnostics, retinal imaging and all other eye testing equipment, commonly found in opticians.

This role is split 50 / 50 between field service at customer sites and workshop based repairs at this organisations head office and modern repair centre. When field based, you will visit customer sites throughout the South East.

Your Background - Medical Field Service Engineer, Ophthalmic Lasers

Suitable candidates for this exciting role will need to possess a qualification in electronics, engineering or science, to a minimum of ONC level, and have gained experience working in a customer facing field service or technical support environment.

Experience of optics, lasers or ophthalmic applications is preferred. Applications are encouraged from Field Service Engineers from a wide range of electronic based high value capital equipment sectors, including medical device, laboratory device, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other high value instrumentation environments. Full and extensive product training will be provided, so whatever your background in field service, your application will be considered.
