We're supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19. We're now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.

What you'll be doing:
  • Maintaining accounting records
  • Preparing, checking and processing transactions and reference data on ledger
  • Reconciling balance sheet items
  • Settling payments in line with relevant delegated authority and monitoring/resolving outstanding invoices/statements
  • Issuing invoices/statements and monitoring/chasing/resolving outstanding balances
  • Receipts - banking and matching to debts
  • Monitoring cash movements and balances
  • Preparing payrolls
  • Calculating commissions, reinsurance premiums/claims, provisions/reserves, taxes/levies, accruals, prepayments, investment movements, depreciation, bad debts, allocations, voting rights etc
  • Liaising with PRA and clients re client data requested by PRA, waivers, changes to Senior Managers and permissions etc
  • Representing CCIS as Corporate Secretary at client Board meetings, drafting/distributing Board documents, taking minutes, maintaining statutory registers etc
  • Preparing, checking and distributing the following deliverables
    • Management accounts, dashboards and key performance indicators
    • Annual report and financial statements
    • Regulatory returns (PRA, FCA, Lloyd's, overseas, HM Treasury, DEFRA, ONS, Companies House etc)

What we're looking for:
  • Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Experience of preparing management accounts and Annual report and financial statements
  • High professional ethics
  • Good people person
  • Customer focussed
  • Commercially aware
  • Able to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines, even when they conflict
  • Good communicator and team player with a committed, professional and positive attitude
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Excellent MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills
  • Preferably Experience of general insurance finance, including preparing PRA and/or Lloyd's returns
