The role has a technical focus, thus allowing the post-holder to gain and demonstrate strong accounting ability across all key financial statements, alongside playing a key part in the auditing process. There will also be the opportunity to mentor entry-level finance staff and develop their knowledge of the accounting process, as well as aiding in bookkeeping knowledge.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Provide a first-class accounting service to a number of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the very highest quality of financial reporting is delivered
* Act as the focal point for audit queries and ensure a positive resolution
* Ensuring a robust internal control environment
* Ensure the junior team are acting on delivering a strong transactional accounting service.
What you'll need to apply
Our client requires applicants to be able to demonstrate a strong technical accounting background, ideally cultivated within an accountancy practice. Candidates will also have the flexible approach necessary to work in a fast-moving environment and be fully or part-qualified (ACA/ ACCA)
