Mathematics Teacher (QTS)

A high achieving mainstream secondary school based in West London, welcoming pupils 11 - 18 years old are seeking a qualified and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher with QTS to join them. The school devotes itself to shaping their pupils into academic, confident, and successful young people that equipped with all the necessary resources for the future.

Duties include:

* Prepare clear and planned out lessons that will engage students in their learning. Lessons must follow the guidelines of the UK National Curriculum

* You will collectively with the Head of Department and other members of staff, as you monitor students targets and progress as well as plan strategies to increase academic attainment

* Identify the barriers of student learning and work with support staff to ensure students receive the relevant assistance to help them achieve

* Effectively manage student behaviour, following the behaviour policies set out by the school

* Provide pastoral support where needed, to ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils

We are looking for:

* Must be able to teach Mathematics up to GCSE or A level

* Degree in Mathematics or similar

* You must demonstrate your strong knowledge in Mathematics and the wider UK National Curriculum

* Demonstrate leadership skills and high quality of teaching

* Be a strong team player and professional

* Manage pupil behaviour effectively

Requirements:

* Must have QTS - Qualified Teacher Status

* NQTs are encouraged to apply

* Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

* Degree in Mathematics or similar subject

* Ability to teach Mathematics up to GCSE
