Maths Graduates, Catch up Teaching opportunity, Nottinghamshire
Your new company
Hays education are looking for Maths graduates who are interested in working with children in secondary schools across Nottingham to support them with catch up sessions following the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are looking for someone with the necessary energy and enthusiasm to work in innovative ways with individuals or small groups of identified underachieving pupils at Key stage 3, assisting them to fulfil their potential.
Your new roleYou will support in the implementation of action plans to overcome barriers to children's learning, aiding in their revision and study skills. You will support and work with the children either 1:1 or in small groups with mathematics from basic to high level depending on ability and support them with work set by their teacher along with offering your own knowledge and techniques to solve problems and equations.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants should preferably be a graduate and have achieved at least five or more A*-C grades at GCSE (including English and Maths).
In order to succeed you will have graduated with a Maths degree or a Maths teaching degree or received strong A-Level grading in Mathematics, you would have ideally worked with children in some capacity either teaching or supporting.
