WRS Tech's team have a number of vacancies for multiple maritime businesses covering the UK and overseas.

This particular client I am recruiting for are looking for an Industrial Service Manager. Working as the Industrial Service Manager, you will manage and lead a team of engineers and departmental staff with an aim of creating excellent customer service, excellent supply and overall business growth.

WRS Tech's client is a well-established and highly regarded entity within the maritime industry.

Main Purpose of Role:

Management of:
Service contracts and associated works
Generator supply and installation
Planning, labour utilisation, customer contact and people development
Technical support
Manage and lead a team
Business development
You will:
Maintain good working relationships with customers, visiting them on a regular basis
Be a point of contact and respond to customers during normal working hours and urgent responses in non-standard time and weekends as required
Provide technical support to both customers and employees
Ensure profitability targets with respect to quotations and labour utilisation are met
Ensure the quotations are in line with the company authority levels and are timely / accurate
Prepare and submit RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Compile tender responses as and when required for new contracts
Assist in developing continuous improvement in all operations, processes and policies
Ensure the use of cost-effective sources for goods, services and hired equipment
Brief all staff daily to ensure they are clear on what is expected of them, also to ensure they have correctly prepared Job Packs for all jobs
Ensure that all job specific reports are completed in good time
Look to increase efficiency in all work whenever and wherever possible
Maintain company's disciplinary and grievance procedures when appropriate
Ensure that all employees reporting to you receive an annual appraisal
Ensure that staff skills are developed in line with the demands of the job
In-house and external training plans to be maintained in line with the objectives of the company
Ensure that work standards comply with the requirements of the QHSE system and that all employees are conversant with the quality system
Experienced in / Confident with:
Making sure Service Level Agreements are met with all customers
Ensure targets outlined in the business plan are met
Management of labour and efficient utilisation
Internal and external communications
Ability to quote accurately and in good time
Engine and generator control systems
Service and load bank testing of diesel generators and repairs of ancillary equipment
Genset supply and installation
Integration with legacy equipment
Ability to review electrical drawings and specifications
Electrical system design solutions
Load calculations
Experience in quoting and tendering for new work, including remedials
Deep Sea Electronics generator control modules
Management of Subcontractors
Qualifications/Documents/Other Requirements:

Driving Licence Required as travel / client visits will be required
NVQ level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
