Our client is a rapidly expanding organisation based on the M27 corridor in Hampshire, close to Portsmouth and Southampton areas, and they are seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join their business to account for a number of major client investment funds. They are seeking a strong technically orientated and Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) to join at an exciting time of their growth and development.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the job responsibilities will include accounting for a range of complex funds and liaising with clients as required. This will include higher level reconciliations of accounting transactions, and preparing investor reports and statutory statements. You will also have the opportunity to mentor more junior staff with a view to developing your management skills.

The successful candidate is likely to be recently Qualified (ACA, ACCA), or potentially close to qualifying, from within an audit/practice firm seeking their first move into industry, although specific fund accounting experience from within industry would also be of interest. Experience of dealing with fund management, or financial services companies, would be advantageous although candidates with general audit exposure, especially from mid-tier or smaller firms are also encouraged to apply. Previous exposure to preparing statutory financial statements and of reviewing statutory accounts is a pre-requisite for the role. The organisation has an enviable record for training, development and promotions and offers an excellent bonus and benefits package.
