The company are a leading Material Handling company. Their Scottish region has a new requirement for a Regional Service Manager to join the business. They offer an attractive basic salary, circa to £35k to £40k, bonus scheme 20%, basic with Company Car (BMW 3 Series/A4), Contributory Pension, 33 days holiday.
This will be covering the west side of Scotland and an ideal location would be within a commutable distance of East Kilbride
12 to 15 Direct Reports -F Engineer
Managing a team of Service Engineers
Support and develop engineers into achieving KPI's and Targets
Arrange development and training of engineers
Promote and champion a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace
Work with allocated customer base (west Scotland) to ensure that the level of risk to which engineers are exposed when working on customer sites, is consistently at an absolute minimum
Provide after sales support to sales colleagues on all new deals, renewals and refinance. Work closely with relevant sales managers as part of an account management team.
Prepare after sales quotations as appropriate for Ad-Hoc, FMC, OTC parts and PPM business
Introduce WebShop parts portal platform where appropriate opportunity exists
Achievement of commercial targets
Maximised contract profitability inclusive of material spend control
Provision of commercial support and first level commercial decision making
Management and compliance with standard SLA (including adding customer detail)
Preparation through to delivery on non-standard SLA and Management and compliance
Attend truck handover and formally assume customer responsibility from this point
Attend and drive all customer operational review meetings (as defined in the SLA) including taking and circulation of meeting minutes to all interested parties
Collate, prepare and deliver KPI reports during customer account review process, meetings minutes should be recorded and distributed accordingly.
Using KPI data and engineer/operator feedback - identify, communicate and propose corrective actions to assist customer to reduce their out of contract spend
Carry out regular fleet inspections - preparing associated reports for customer review meetings and managing risk for both customer and the companies associated end of contract costs (damage and excess hours)
Be the customer's first point of escalation for all after sales issues.
Own all customer complaints, including after sales invoice queries and customer satisfaction survey output - managing investigation process, issue resolution and the communication and application of appropriate corrective actions
Experienced Service Manager who has lead teams of engineers
Preferred background would be MH or Plant
Apprentice trained or time served manager
Would consider facilities managers, service and other field based senior roles
Confident communicator who is comfortable with the customer and developing relationships
Commercial acumen - pricing, raising quotations, offering after service support, working alongside sales team
Strong leader who can motivate and develop teams
Target driven and results driven
