JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager : Construction, Industrial, Building Services
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead the service / aftersales function for the company. You will take full responsibility for the people management, financial targets, budgets and risk assessments for post-sale works on electromechanical construction projects across the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager : Construction, Industrial, Building Services
You will have direct line management responsibility for several service personnel located across the country, and a part time maintenance coordinator. You will also be tasked with building and managing a network of sub-contracted local engineers to support as required. You will be responsible for procurement and logistics of resources for projects - both in terms of equipment and people.
Key to the role will be working to a budget and reaching financial targets through efficient running of the department. There are currently 30-40 regular maintenance contracts running which you will manage (including negotiating renewals) - alongside quoting for refurbishments / upgrades packages with existing clients.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager : Construction, Industrial, Building Services
To be considered for this role, you MUST:
· Be an experienced and personable Service Manager or Aftersales Manager with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who will take ownership of the Service department.
· Have a background in industry / construction or building services (estates management). You will have experience of people management / logistics and resource planning - ideally instigating & developing relationships with sub-contractors.
You should also have some technical understanding - ideally a mechanical / electrical qualification, and some hands-on engineering experience.
