Support Engineer, 2nd Line Support
My client is seeking an experienced Support Analyst / 2nd Line Support Engineer with experience with a range of technologies.
You will be joining an established SME sized MSP and have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, of which the list continues to grow. You will operate predominantly remotely however will have the opportunity to undergo some onsite support as well.
As you will be doing occasional client visits you will be required to have a full UK driving licence.What will the Support Engineer be doing?
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be part of a small team, serving as a point of escalation to a dedicated 1st Line team. The successful 2nd Line Support Engineer will be providing predominantly 2nd Line desktop support for a wide variety of both new and legacy tech such as Active Directory, Windows Server and Office 365. This is a varied role with opportunity to learn new technologies.
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will also bridge the gap between 2nd and 3rd Line, with responsibility for some network and server work, and will also have involvement in a variety of interesting projects.What do I need?
- Demonstrable 2nd Line support experience
- Broad technical understanding
- Windows server and Windows client experience
- Experience with O365
- Experience of networking including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and internet routing and switching
- Active Directory
- Previous experience within an MSP is highly desirable
