Deputy Manager and Service User Care Manager - Abingdon

Hours: 07.00-15.00 - Monday - Friday

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000

The Company

My Client is a well-established domiciliary care provider with over 50years experience across their office team. They are looking for an experienced Service user manager to bring even more knowledge and experience to their team. Our client is family run and unique to other agencies. They put people first and want to continue to build their brilliant reputation locally for being a great employer and a great care provider. The ideal candidate will work as the service user manager and deputy manager, covering the registered manager in their absence.

The Role

My client is looking for someone that has the ability to manage all aspects of care and report directly to the registered manager and team of directors. This role will be based from the office and out in the field. Building relationships with Service users and supervising and supporting senior carers.

As a service user manager and Deputy Manager you will be required to work Monday - Friday from 7am until 3pm. In addition to this you will be required to participate in an on call rota one weekend a month. You will receive additional pay for this duty.

Role Responsibilities:

Managing the Service Users, their needs and ongoing assessments and reviews.
Managing and leading the team of Senior Care Workers
Allocating and processing referrals for new work
Care planning and risk assessing
Processing changes and amendments to existing care packages
Assigning care workers to clients appropriately, whilst working within our exceptional standards
Working with other members of the team to ensure high quality service provision
Talking to the clients on a regular basis about their care
Participating in the on-call rota

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Strong communication and IT skills
NVQ 5 (or equivalent) in health and social care
Experience in dealing with other agencies such as social services, hospitals
Management experience in care
UK driving licence and vehicle
Strong management skills
