Operations and Maintenance Manager - Fraserburgh - Offshore Wind Farm

Eden Scott's client, a leading international developer of renewable energy now requires an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager to join them in their Fraserburgh office. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the operations and maintenance strategy for all Balance of Plant High Voltage Electrical Equipment such as Offshore Substations, Inter Array Cables, Onshore Cables and 66KW Switchgear.

Reporting into the Head of Operations and Maintenance additional Responsibilities will include:
  • Plan and manage the execution of all O&M activity relating to OFTO assets and Moray East Balance of Plant Electrical equipment
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient handover of assets from construction and commissioning teams
  • Manage OFTO and Transmission Network Operator relationships
  • Supervise the activities of all subcontractors executing scopes of inspection and maintenance activity on OFTO and Balance of Plant Electrical equipment
  • Responsible for the coordination and management of onshore/offshore cable repair activities in the event of defects, damage or faults
  • Manage access arrangements with the OFTO party in relation to ongoing operation and maintenance of retained equipment with the OSP's (66kV switchgear and inter array cabling)

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive experience in a similar managerial role ideally within the Offshore Wind Sector (Oil & Gas and Electrical Transmission industry experience will be considered too)
  • Experience managing electro mechanical safety rules systems (experience as authorised person or senior authorised person would be beneficial)
  • Experience with the installation and or commissioning or electrical transmission assets
  • Able to be based from Fraserburgh with occasional travel to Edinburgh

Management: The position will manage a team of 3 people plus any contractors and subcontractors.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Up to £70K depending on experience (negotiable)
  • Bonus of 20% of base salary (Typically 75-80% maximum pay out)
  • 10% pension
