We are continuing to grow here at The Energy Check and as a result of this we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance Department!

The main duties and responsibilities of the post include but are not limited to;
·Reporting directly to the Director of Finance providing overall support to the financial management of the business.
·Monitoring of budgets, forecasts, cashflow analysis and financial management accounts.
·Providing expert advice and guidance to support informed decision making.
·Responsible for producing reports to support all statutory reporting, compliance, annual accounts and VAT returns.
·Implementing and maintaining the finance processes.
·Ensure departmental budgets are controlled effectively.
·Preparation of monthly senior management reports.
·To represent the business in an exemplary fashion
·To attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues
·To adhere to and promote the Company Mission Statement and Core Values
To ensure on all occasions, you observe safe working practices in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work, Fire Procedures and other Statutory Legislation
Skills and Experience:
·Previous experience in senior financial role.
·Previous experience in the energy sector (preferred)
·Further Education (A-Levels or equivalent in a Business-Related Topic)
·Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (preferred)
·Professional finance qualification or working towards (essential)
·Member of a professional body such as CIMA or ACA(preferred)
·Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
·Excellent Customer Service Skills
·Outstanding Communication Skills
·Good computer skills including advanced functions of Excel
·Adaptable to change within the business
·Ability to work as part of a team or on an individual basis
·Willingness to develop in-line with continuing professional development
