With a strong record of product and service innovation they work in close partnership with the NHS and healthcare professionals to support and drive the best clinical solutions and services to patients.This is an exciting opportunity to join our organisation in a brand-new role responsible for developing and implementing medical marketing strategy and developing an engagement strategy primarily targeted towards consultants and specialist nurses in UK, specialised in care for patients suffering from neurologic conditions such as MS and Spinal Cord Injury.Bladder and bowel care for patients with MS or spinal injury is a key focus area both globally and in the UK, and this new role has been created to ensure the development of a strong clinical agenda to support commercial strategy in this important area.This role is based at the Peterborough office however working with external stakeholders across the UK will be a key part of the position, as will close collaboration with our Global medical marketing function, to ensure that strategy is translated into actionable plans.The Medical Marketing Manager will work across the bladder and bowel business areas, and the key objective is to increase the penetration of both Intermittent Self-Catheterisation (ISC) and Trans Anal Irrigation (TAI) in UK MS and spinal patient populations.
Responsibilities include:Accountable for the development and implementation of the neuro medical marketing strategy, focusing on MS and spinal in line with commercial priorities.Work together with the Product Marketing Team to ensure strategy is aligned with the needs of the Continence Care Business Area.Serve as subject matter expert with everything related to the UK neuro medical landscape.Develop clinical data and medical marketing campaigns for use by Business Development Managers as they develop partnerships with the NHS.Develop a strong clinical agenda to convince consultants and specialist nurses that ISC and TAI devices are the gold standard bladder and bowel management treatments for those with spinal cord injuries and MS, and change clinical practice.Develop a new Key Opinion Leader strategy, identifying and managing KOLs in line with overall commercial strategy.Work closely with Global Medical Marketing ensuring that the initiatives, studies and campaigns they develop are suitable for use in the UK, influencing their clinical agenda so that it is aligned with UK strategy, and gaining their support and input into UK-specific clinical initiatives.
Qualifications:A qualified, registered doctor or a nurse with experience and specialist knowledge in neurology.
The Person/Experience:Ideally, solid experience of medical affairs from within pharma/medical devices.Strong expertise in the medical sciences, clinical development, medical program design including designing, executing and reporting of clinical trials/audits.Has experience of medical writing and publishing clinical work.Has experience of presenting at large congresses.A strategic thinker, comfortable discussing high-level topics with senior management and can translate these into a tangible plan.An excellent communicator, able to convince and influence by simplifying complex topics and communicating them succinctly and clearly.Is a self-starter, able to effectively manage projects with minimal support.Understands relevant commercial and brand strategy, and ensures strategy in own area is closely aligned.Works closely with Global Marketing to understand and influence their clinical agendaBroadly shares learnings and insights across the organisation.Participates in development of brand positioning and communication strategy.Contributes to global project teams where appropriate to ensure constructive country engagement.
