Following additional growth, our manufacturing client based in Ashby de la Zouche has a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Junior Accountant / Accounts Assistant to join them on a 9-12 month contract

Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will be responsible for speaking with both finance and non-finance departments. Key areas of focus for the role are reconciliations, posting of journals, Balance sheet reconciliations

You will provide key financial information across the group that will influence strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities:

* Raising sales invoices/credits as well as raising recharge invoices and ad hoc invoices

* Processing weekly and monthly expenses

* Assisting with month-end including trial Balance reconciliations, journals and accruals posting

* Bank payments, receipts and transfers

* General, purchase and sales ledger posting

* Resolving Client Queries and resolving within a timely manner

* Dealing with PO Reconciliations

* Analysing monthly employee Salary and Benefits for client recharges

* Chasing corporate card arrears

* Additional AD Hoc Duties

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences for the Junior Accountant / Accounts Assistant role;

* Commercial awareness and understanding of business processes

* Qualified by experience, Qualified or Part Qualified (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA)

* Good IT knowledge - Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, CODA

* Excellent attention to detail with an analytical approach to solving problems

* Strong communication skills

* Enthusiastic and driven

* Be able to adapt and keep pace with a fast-moving environment
