An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Performance Officer to join the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with the ability to engage in and enable performance management discussions with the aim of creating efficient planning and performance management processes that can be implemented across the organisation.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with our Senior Leadership Team, producing corporate reports and information to support the evidence based decision making that is vital to the delivery of our services in the communities of Royal Berkshire.
As part of this role, the ideal candidate will have a passion for improving public service delivery and be able to demonstrate their skills in planning and performance management processes through presenting complex information to a wide range of audiences.
The successful candidate will be inspired to demonstrate and promote behaviours in line with the Job Profile and our Behaviour Competency Framework as attached here.
The key focus of this role is:
Coordinate the Service's business planning processes.
Develop and implement systems for the preparation of performance reports, analysing performance trends and monitoring compliance.
Produce corporate documents, reports and information to ensure effective planning and reporting.
Support and maintain corporate risk management processes and systems.
Promote a commitment to effective planning and performance management across the organisation.
Key role requirements (knowledge, skills and experience):
Proven experience of delivering reports, documents and presentations to directors or senior managers.
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of planning and performance management processes and systems.
Ability to analyse, interpret and present risk and performance data effectively to a variety of audiences in various formats.
Skilled in cultivating effective relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
Able to manage complex workload and deliver to tight timescales and deadlines.
