We are hiring! Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for a challenge? We have an opportunity for someone to join us on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract working in our Barway site in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Key tasks include:
  • Ensure the timely and accurate payment to suppliers and the Company's Purchasing Policy of supplier companies are adhered to
  • Resolving any queries
  • Inputting of purchase invoices onto G's system
  • To provide a high level of accuracy
  • Respond quickly and positively to the needs, requests and demands of customers including team members and managers
  • Resolution of queries from suppliers
  • Distribute documentation to managers for authorisation using document management system
  • Ensure correct treatment for VAT on all invoices and timely escalation of any issues
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate all invoice queries in a timely manner through liaison suppliers
  • Payment of all invoices within agreed payment terms to avoid the organisation incurring financial penalties or trading restrictions

We are looking for an individual who thrives working in a fast-paced finance environment and can demonstrate exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and strong IT system experience.
