Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for a Tax Junior position within a Top Accountancy firm in Letchworth. This opportunity would be ideal for any school-leaver looking to kick-start their accountancy career with a very reputable firm.

Key Responsibilities - Tax Junior
  • Preparation of personal tax returns and computations
  • Preparation of forms P11d and associated paperwork
  • Respond to client enquiries in line with company policy
  • Contact clients regarding tax information
  • Follow up queries raised by managers
  • Support other members of the tax team with their work (Personal tax, and Probate)

Assist both the Personal Tax partner and Corporate Tax partner with a variety of different tasks.

Requirements - Tax Junior
  • minimum 5 GCSE's grade B/6 and above, 3 A levels a minimum of 3 C's or equivalent
  • an ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • an eye for detail
  • an ability to work to deadlines
  • an ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • good computer skills, outlook, excel and word
  • an ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English
  • must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.

Working Arrangements

The hours are 37.5 per week but we operate a flexible working policy, which allows you to agree your working hours with your line manager, and to have a degree of flexibility over starting and finishing times. All changes to working hours are subject to prior approval by your manager or department head.

Due to the current social distancing requirements the company are working remotely, and it is anticipated that this will continue to be the case for the next 3-6 months. You may be required to attend the companies' offices for training purposes or to pick up records, but our offices are all Covid-19 secure.
